Dear SJSD Parents and Public,
In response to a growing need for more time for teachers to participate in and complete state required literacy training, as well as more teacher time to support lesson plan development for an 80 min instructional block, the SJSD Board of Education approved to change December 22 from a regular day of school to a teacher work day. For students, this means this year's Winter Break will be December 22-31. The 3rd quarter will start Monday, January 3. If questions or concerns arise regarding this decision, please reach out to your child’s school administration. As always, we appreciate and value our parents and other educational partners.
